General description of Make and/or Model of this Motorcar:

Launched at the 2000 Geneva Motor Show, the Aero 8, was Morgan's first new model since the 1960's Featuring an aluminium bonded chassis, the heart of the car was a state-of-the-art BMW 4.4-litre V8. Unlike any car design at the time, the Aero 8 remained unmistakenly a Morgan. In 2008 the model was the recipient of an updated 4.8-litre BMW V8 engine, capable of producing 362bhp in a car that weighed little over 1,180kg.

Initially presented at the 2005 Geneva Motorshow as a bespoke car, the Aeromax had been built for well-respected Morgan customer Prince Eric Sturdza of Banque Baring Sturdza in Geneva. However, due to the high levels of interest at the Motorshow, and with Prince Eric's agreement, it was decided that Morgan would produce a limited run of 100 cars in celebration of Morgans Centenury year.

The iconic design was penned by a young Coventry University graduate by the name of Matt Humphries, 21 at the time, who later had a successful career at Morgan and was one of the first designers ever employed by the car company. Despite a hefty price tag at the time, the Aeromax became a success and sold out very quickly.
